All Junior members are entitled to the following benefits of membership:
Juniors can use the courts to play tennis whenever available. An ideal time for Juniors to play is straight after school from 3.00pm – 6.00pm or during the day at holidays and half term periods. Juniors have absolute priority to courts on Friday evenings and they will have a right to court nº 7 at other times.
This popular membership benefit allows all Juniors to attend the ‘Friday Club Night’ which runs throughout the year. Players are encouraged to play on after their session as Friday nights are Junior’s – subject to court availability. During the months of April – September, Club Night runs outdoors and is free of charge to all members. During the autumn and winter months of October – March, Club Night moves indoors for Mini Tennis members at a small additional charge.
All Junior members receive priority bookings over non-members*. Members are also entitled to discounts on tennis coaching courses. * See GDT Bookings and Cancellation Policy
The Friday Junior Club Night provides a fantastic opportunity to improve your tennis and meet new friends.
Please speak to the coaches if you would like more information on Club coaching squads. Players who are very committed and talented have the opportunity to become part of the LTA Performance Programme. If you would just like to play against a friend or practice your strokes then please make use of this priority evening.
Juniors interested in representing the Club in league matches should contact Maria at the Office.
But it’s not all serious matches and training – tennis is there to be enjoyed! There are BBQ’s, special events, the Annual Open Junior Club Tournament in May and other activities planned. Watch the homepage or club notice board for more information about Club activities, check in the Club House for leaflets, ask our Club Administrator, what's going on and tell us YOUR IDEAS about activities the Club could organise for Juniors.
